The Italian headstart for Italy program consists of one unit on Italian pronunciation and 5 modules with accompanying audiocassettes. The pronunciation unit gives you some hints on Italian sounds and the Italian writing system. Unit-by-unit objectives for each module are stated at the beginning of the module. Some units contain supplementary vocabulary lists. The last section of each module is an Italian-English glossary. A cumulative glossary is included as a separate book, average completion of the course is 30 to 40 hours. Topics covered: getting to know you, traveling, eating at a restaurant, shopping and using the telephone.
